Loop Breaker Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 19, 2026
Last updated: July 31, 2026

Loop Breaker is provided by Lightline Labs LLC ("Loop Breaker," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Loop Breaker mobile application (the "App").

Loop Breaker is designed so that sensitive check-in and Apple Health information stays on your device. The App does not require an account.

1. Information stored locally on your device

The App may store the following information locally:

  • Your check-in selections and timestamps, including self-reported red-zone “lifeline” check-ins.
  • Optional notes you enter.
  • Toolkit actions, preferences, and intervention history.
  • Scripts, plans, or other Power Pack results that you explicitly save as personal Toolkit items.
  • Notification preferences, quiet hours, snooze state, and scheduling information.
  • App settings and locally cached purchase-entitlement status.
  • If you enable Body-Aware mode, an on-device baseline derived from permitted Apple Health data and, for self-reported red-zone check-ins, a local snapshot of available recent heart-rate and HRV context.

Information entered while completing a Power Pack exercise is temporary by default. It is not intentionally retained after you leave the exercise unless you explicitly choose to save a result. A saved launcher for a premium Power Pack exercise remains subject to that pack’s purchase entitlement. A script, plan, or other result explicitly saved as a personal Toolkit item remains stored locally even if a Loop Breaker Plus subscription later expires.

This information is used to provide check-ins, personalize the timing of reminders, display history and gentle insights, verify access to purchased features, and offer the coping actions you selected. We do not operate a server that receives your check-ins, notes, Toolkit content, Power Pack entries, or Apple Health information.

Local App files use iOS data-protection features when available. You are responsible for protecting access to your device.

2. Apple Health information

Body-Aware mode is optional and requires your permission. If enabled, the App may read:

  • Heart rate.
  • Heart-rate variability (HRV/SDNN).
  • Resting heart rate.
  • Workout information, used to reduce exercise-related false alerts.

The App uses this information on your device to calculate a personal baseline and evaluate whether a body-signal change should increase the likelihood of a check-in. The App does not write information to Apple Health.

We do not receive, sell, disclose, or use Apple Health information for advertising, marketing, data mining, or profiling. Apple Health information is not supplied to Google AdMob or any other advertising provider.

You may revoke Apple Health permission at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings. If permission is declined or revoked, the App falls back to Smart Adaptive mode.

3. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the App schedules local check-in reminders on your device. Notification scheduling information remains local. Apple may process technical information necessary to operate iOS notification services under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

You may disable notifications or change their presentation in iOS Settings. The App remains usable without notifications.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

Seven premium Power Packs are offered as individual one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases. An All Power Packs one-time purchase unlocks all seven premium packs offered in this version of the App.

Loop Breaker Plus is an auto-renewable monthly subscription. While Apple reports that the subscription is active, Plus unlocks all premium Power Packs and prevents advertisements from being presented in the App. Body-Aware mode is free during the App beta and does not require a purchase.

Apple processes payments, renewals, cancellations, refunds, taxes, storefront pricing, and transaction records under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. The App receives limited product, transaction, and current-entitlement information from Apple so it can display purchase options, verify access, restore purchases, and determine whether Plus is active. We do not receive your full payment-card information.

Turning off automatic renewal does not immediately end Plus access. Access ordinarily continues through the paid subscription period. When Apple reports that the subscription has expired or has been revoked, Plus-only Power Packs become locked and advertisements may return. Power Packs purchased separately or through the one-time All Power Packs purchase remain available unless that purchase is refunded or revoked.

Deleting the App, using Forget Everything, or deleting locally stored information does not cancel a subscription or delete Apple’s transaction records. Subscriptions must be managed through Apple Account settings.

5. Advertising and Google AdMob

Loop Breaker does not present advertisements while Apple reports an active Loop Breaker Plus entitlement. If that entitlement expires or is revoked, the App may resume requesting and displaying advertisements.

The App may display advertising through Google AdMob. Where permitted by your choices and applicable law, advertising partners may use ad-related identifiers or advertising data to deliver, measure, and improve more relevant ads. If you deny tracking permission or required advertising consent is unavailable, Loop Breaker requests non-personalized ads.

Loop Breaker does not send check-ins, notes, toolkit content, intervention history, Apple Health information, or the Body-Aware baseline to the advertising provider.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may nevertheless process certain advertising-related information, which may include:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location.
  • Device or app identifiers.
  • Advertising data, such as ads displayed.
  • Interactions with ads and the App, such as app launches or video views.
  • Diagnostics, crash information, and performance data.

Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy policies. Depending on your location, the App may display Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and/or a Google consent or privacy-choice form before requesting ads. Where required, you may revisit advertising privacy choices from the App's Settings screen.

We do not use sensitive health, mental-health, or check-in information to select or target advertisements. We do not sell that information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Apple Health information is never used for advertising.

6. External links and crisis resources

The App may open third-party websites, telephone services, messaging services, playlists, or resources selected by you. This includes links to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the United States. Those services operate under their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for how third-party services handle information.

7. Data retention, export, and deletion

Local information remains on your device until you delete it, use the App's Forget Everything feature, or uninstall the App. You can export a readable copy of the App's local data from Settings.

Because we do not receive your local check-ins, notes, toolkit content, intervention history, or Apple Health baseline, we cannot access or delete those items remotely. Deleting local App information does not automatically delete information independently processed by Apple, Google, or another third party. Use the applicable provider's privacy controls for those records.

Unsaved Power Pack exercise entries are temporary and are not intentionally retained after you leave the exercise. Results that you explicitly save as personal Toolkit items remain until you delete them, use Forget Everything, or uninstall the App.

Deleting local information or uninstalling Loop Breaker does not cancel Loop Breaker Plus. You must manage or cancel the subscription separately through Apple Account settings.

8. Children

Loop Breaker is intended for adults age 18 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us directly, contact us at david@lightlinelab.com.

9. United States privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information we control, such as rights to know, access, correct, delete, or appeal certain decisions. To make a request, contact david@lightlinelab.com. We may need to verify your request.

Please remember that we cannot access information stored only inside the App on your device. You can manage that information directly through the App's export and deletion tools. Advertising-related choices may also be available in the App or through Google.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

10. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the App's local-first design. No device, software, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep iOS updated, protect your device passcode, and do not share exported data with people you do not trust.

11. International use

The initial version of Loop Breaker is designed for use in the United States. If you use it elsewhere, crisis resources may not be appropriate for your location. Advertising providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their own safeguards and legal obligations.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to future use, subject to applicable law.
